A leading healthcare facility in Pennsylvania is seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to oversee its Infection Prevention program across all sites of care. This key leadership role will work alongside executive leadership, medical staff, nursing, and ancillary teams to improve operational excellence in reducing hospital-acquired infections. The director will ensure regulatory compliance, manage infection prevention surveillance and reporting, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance patient safety. This position also provides leadership to the Infection Prevention Department, working to implement best practices and improve infection prevention outcomes.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a health-related field (nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, public health, or equivalent experience) and Certification in Infection Control (CIC). A minimum of five years of Infection Prevention management experience is required, along with strong analytical, epidemiological, and statistical skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent relationship-building abilities, leadership skills, and strategic vision, with the ability to set priorities and implement large-scale initiatives. Executive presentation skills and experience leading cross-functional teams are preferred.

This thriving, independent healthcare system has 300+ beds and an average daily census of 220. The Director of Infection Prevention will have two direct reports and will report to the Senior Healthcare Consultant (acting VP of Quality) while a permanent VP of Quality is being identified.
