Clutch Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Infection Control Preventionist to join the team at a 500-bed flagship medical facility in Virginia. Reporting to the Director of Infection Prevention, this full-time role plays a vital part in strengthening infection prevention strategies across the organization. While the home base will be in Virginia, there may be occasional travel to nearby affiliated sites as needed. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful and lasting impact in a well-supported and highly visible Infection Prevention program.

The Infection Prevention team works together in a shared office space, so strong communication skills, a positive and people-first attitude, and the ability to function effectively in close quarters are essential. This is not a stepping stone role—it involves substantial onboarding and training, and we’re seeking a professional who is committed to long-term growth within the team. The position involves leading infection surveillance, supporting regulatory readiness, participating in staff education, and contributing to prevention efforts across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least three years of clinical or hospital experience. Ambulatory experience is a bonus, and CIC certification or eligibility is preferred. The right candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and genuinely invested in advancing patient safety. Strong organizational skills, a no-drama approach, and the ability to build positive relationships across departments are essential to success.
