The Infection Prevention Manager will oversee and advance the hospital’s infection prevention and control program, managing all aspects of surveillance, reporting, and education related to infection prevention. This role plays a key part in identifying and reducing hospital-acquired infections, collaborating across departments to develop and implement evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes. The position includes leadership of a small team and offers the opportunity to build, evolve, and strengthen the infection prevention program within an acute care setting.

Qualified candidates will have at least five years of infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital, along with at least one year of leadership or oversight responsibilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Allied Health is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have proven success in developing infection prevention strategies, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a desire to advance the organization’s infection control program. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred.

This position is with a 500-bed hospital that operates as part of a larger healthcare system, offering a supportive environment focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and professional growth. The Infection Prevention Manager reports to the Director of Quality, who provides connection and alignment with system-level quality initiatives.
