The Infection Prevention Manager plays a vital role in leading the infection control program for this hospital. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality with a dotted line to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader is responsible for implementing and enforcing the Surveillance, Prevention, and Control Program across the facility. The manager will coordinate infection prevention activities, provide oversight on hospital-wide compliance, and continuously monitor the effectiveness of interventions designed to reduce hospital-acquired infections. This position, although a sole preventionist role, is highly collaborative, requiring strong communication and leadership to work across clinical and administrative teams while navigating the complex challenges of a busy hospital environment.

Candidates for this role must hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field and have at least four years of direct experience in Infection Prevention. A Massachusetts RN license or ASCP credential is required, and CIC certification is strongly preferred. The role requires a strong background in nursing processes and clinical practice, with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations and lead effectively. All applicants must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen, before onboarding.
