A 600-bed Florida hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join its Infection Prevention team. This is a newly created or restructured position. Core responsibilities include HAI surveillance and reporting, staff education and competency training, policy and procedure development.

This not-for-profit health system operates four acute care hospitals and a dedicated children’s hospital across 1,800+ beds, employing more than 16,000 team members and serving as one of the largest employers in Southwest Florida. The flagship campus is a Level II Trauma Center that has earned Healthgrades’ America’s 50 Best Hospitals designation, with multiple campuses holding Leapfrog “A” safety grades and ANCC Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. A recently approved $150 million expansion is underway. Current departmental priorities include SSI, MRSA prevention and reduction, giving the incoming IP a clear and impactful focus from day one.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree. Prior Infection Prevention experience is valued, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow or continue building in the specialty.
