A leading independent hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join its Infection Prevention team. Reporting to the Director of Infection Prevention, this role is responsible for surveillance, data collection, problem analysis, and intervention activities to prevent and control infections within the hospital. The Infection Preventionist will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, conduct hospital rounds, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Strong relationship-building skills, resilience, and operational knowledge are essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate must meet one of the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with an active Pennsylvania RN license and three years of clinical experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, Epidemiology, or a related field with three years of healthcare experience, or a Master’s in Public Health. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required within five years of hire. Experience with The Joint Commission (TJC), surgical site infections, sterilization and high-level disinfection, and hospital operations is highly desirable. Candidates should have strong technical skills, as proficiency with data analysis and Windows-based systems is required.
