We are looking for an Infection Preventionist to step in at Tower Health in West Reading, Pennsylvania. You will report to the System Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention at this 714 bed facility.
You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education. Likewise, related experience is required.

Tower Health also has a growing relationship with Drexel University to advance its academic strategy. The two organizations collaborated to build an additional site location for Drexel’s College of Medicine in Wyomissing, less than one mile from Tower Health’s flagship, Reading Hospital. Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health has the capacity to train and educate up to 300 medical students.

Responsibilities
The Infection Preventionist (IP) helps to prevent healthcare associated infections by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. The IP is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections. The IP supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards. The IP trains healthcare members in infection prevention. The IP is a leader in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization. The IP reports to the System Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention.
Education Requirements
4 year/Bachelor’s Degree or combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of a degree.
